Oblivion Remastered Armor Mods - Top 5 List

Introduction

Oblivion Remastered has had some changes in the mod Landscape since it's release in 2025 April. We looked at some Armor Mods and compiled a little list for you all! We have both completely new sets and also changes to vanilla sets in our list. Hope you enjoy and find something you like :)

1. ARMOR YOUR FACE

Starting the list with the ARMOR YOUR FACE mod. This mod is so simple yet so effective that we had to include it. It changes the stock Legion Armor Helmet design to be lots more aggressive looking. Most importantly however, it really protects your face now. No more stabbing in the face! We think the mod also makes the Legion Guard look a lot more badass. Recommendation without any compromise.

2. Witcher Gear

A fan of the Witcher series? Look no more. Witcher Gear - Armors and Swords - STANDALONE will add a completely new armor set to the game which resembles the Witcher armor of Geralt. They are seperate pieces which you can buy at Hammer & Tongs in Skingrad. Have a look at the description page for required mods in order to install this correctly.

3. Night Shrouded Armor

Next up is the Dark as Night Shrouded Armor by thelistenersfury. The mod unifies the two different armor sets you get when joining the Dark Brotherhood and makes them both look somewhat the same color wise. The mod also comes in some flavours like having different other color variants available. In a sense just a cosmetic mod but something that makes the armor sets fit more nicely into the world.

4. Protective Headgear

Protective Headgear - Chainmail replaces the headgear of the chainmail armor to be more, well, protective looking. It's similar to ARMOR YOUR FACE which also only changes the appearance of the helmet. Again it's not a big change but it's something that makes the armor pieces look more unique between each other and also add depth to the world.

5. Sensible Shields - Steel

Sensible Shields - Steel is adding 4 different options for the shield of the Steel armor set. The changes are also subtle here but make a big difference in our opinion. Best to consult the description of the mod and some more pictures to get an idea what type of shields you can get when downloading it. Our favourite is the one on the right in the picture, where the tip of the shield is a bit more sharper looking :)
